HANDMADE BALLOON PRINT DRESS // CLARKS SHOES* // DOLLY DARLING HAIR BOWS // FUZZY NATION BAG // ASOS BELT // ASOS BRACELET // DOLLY DARLING PIERROT RING // EVANS GOLD RINGS
Hey everyone :) Hope you're having a nice weekend! This is my outfit of today, I made this dress last weekend, & have been super excited to wear it out! I actually bought the fabric after seeing my sister's new dress for Harriet (yes, Charlotte is mad! :P), & really liking the print. I searched for it on eBay & it was there, for something like £2.70 a metre, so it cost about £10 for the whole dress fabric. I did have to line it though (with an old sheet), because it was a bit thin & see-through upon inspection.
Before anyone asks, I didn't use a commercial pattern, I made a bodice pattern for my own use from my birdcage dress, & made the sleeves & skirt up as I went along. I am useless at explaining my method, I can just sort of see how flat pieces will fit in a certain way. I'm sure using an actual pattern would be easier though, but nice ones in my size are rarer than gold dust! I even added 2 pockets in the side seams of the skirts, I did take pics using them, but I looked silly, haha!
You might have also noticed that my hair looks a bit different :P I felt like a change & have wanted to try purple for a while now. It's kinda an unintentional dip dye lilac to a pinkier purple, my hair apparently takes dye better at the top, plus I suck at getting it all over the ends because I have so much hair! I like it anyway though. I used SFX Wildflower for those interested, heavily diluted with conditioner as usual.
